SnowPro Subject Matter Expert (SME) Code of Conduct

If you are approved as an SME, you agree to conduct yourself in accordance with this code of conduct: 

(a) Integrity and professionalism: 

• • I will conduct myself with honesty, integrity, and professionalism at all times. I will treat fellow SMEs and Snowflake personnel with courtesy and respect.
• •I will maintain objectivity and impartiality in the development and review of Certification Program content. 

(b) Work products:

• •I affirm that my contributions will be my original thoughts, and I will create exam content that is not plagiarized, copied from any existing source or generated using Artificial Intelligence.
• •Snowflake will own all feedback and ideas provided by me acting as an SME including, but not limited to, exam content, exam materials, created, reviewed, and revised during any snowflake workshop. 

(c) Security and confidentiality:

• •I will not disclose or discuss specific exam questions, answers, or content except with fellow SMEs under the supervision of Snowflake Certification staff.
• •I will treat all exam materials, including questions, answers, and related documentation, as confidential and proprietary information. 
  
• •I will safeguard exam materials from unauthorized access, disclosure, or distribution.
• •I will keep confidential any and all information, including, but not limited to exam materials, analyses, exam related materials, nonpublic materials, anything that is disclosed to me as a result of my SME participation. 

(d) Conflict of interest disclosure: 

• •I will promptly disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may arise during my tenure as a SME.
• •If I have a personal or professional relationship with a candidate, employer, or organization that could influence my judgment or objectivity as a SME, I will disclose this information and recuse myself immediately. 

(e) Use of information learned as a SME:

• •I will not use privileged information gained as a SME for any commercial purposes (including but not limited, creation of training, online content, training courses, or other mediums) unless explicitly allowed by Snowflake.
• •I will not provide hints, tips, or assistance regarding exam content.

(f) Compliance with policies and guidelines: 

• •I will comply with all relevant Snowflake policies, guidelines, procedures, or other additional requirements established by the Certification team. 

By accepting the responsibilities of a SnowPro Subject Matter Expert and adhering to this Agreement, I affirm my commitment to uphold the integrity, security, and fairness of the SnowPro Certification Exams. I understand that any violation of this code will result in disciplinary action, which may include removal from the SME program and potential legal consequences.
